AirCare Systems™ has developed world leading pneumatic seating technology, each created in a bespoke manner for our family of clients who deliver ergonomic seating worldwide.

Under the company name of Seating Direct International we were founded in 2001 and have driven product development and innovation in back support systems and dynamic air seating.

We manufacture a wide range of standard and customised air cells for ergonomic seating solutions.  Our main products include lumbar support solutions, dynamic air seating, thoracic air cells, head and neck supports, and thigh supports.  Our expertise encompasses pump-up, adjustable pressure, permanently inflated, foam-filled, responsive, and self-inflating air cells as well as valve and pump technology and design.

All our products are designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom.

Ergonomists and health care professionals alike agree that sitting immobile at work stations for hours on end can lead to poor posture, stiffness and even neck and back pain.  Unfortunately, many office chairs lack the features that contribute towards a good ergonomic working position.

We help our customers deliver dynamic seating solutions that follow the user’s every movement and at the same time encourage a change of posture.  Our pneumatic seating systems can be individually adjusted to body form and mass, which encourages users to respond to stimuli to sit upright and to maintain an active dynamic posture.

We are a focused knowledge based company; our business is built around supporting seating manufacturers around the world with a bespoke range of air, air/foam, valves and control systems for seating and back lumbar support.

We use our seating expertise in conjunction with designers to create custom seating solutions for our clients.

We partner clients from seating project inception through to first run air cell prototyping (either foam filled or fully inflatable air cells) to production tooling and volume production.  We are committed to ongoing investment in radio frequency welding technology and injection mould tooling including our proprietary ‘no leak’ valve designs.
